Introduction to the Department

The Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering (CSEE) fosters professionals who will lead change in the twenty-first century information age. Future leaders will be asked to acquire a comprehensive perspective of the rapidly changing fields of AI and information communication technologies with cooperation-oriented, field-centered training and research to solve problems via innovative means. By fostering future leaders of such caliber,  the dept. of CSEE seeks to achieve the vision of serving the nation and changing the world.

Since the 2020 Fall, the dept. of CSEE has participated in The Brain Korea 21 Program which is the major government subsidy program for the graduate studies: “Advanced AI Talent Education and Research Group for Industrial Innovation.” (http://bk21ai.handong.edu) Foreign students can be BK21 students and have various supports for research activities. 

Degree Programs
• Integrated bachelor and and Master program  (for HGU students): 1.5 years
• Master Program: 2 years
• Integrated Master and PhD program: 5 years
• PhD program: 4 years
